Aberargie Distillery

The Morrison family opened Aberargie Distillery in 2017 on their 300-acre farm south of Perth, returning to an industry they helped shape for generations before selling stakes in Bowmore, Auchentoshan and Glen Garioch during the 1990s. Golden Promise and Laureate barley grown on the estate is malted, distilled, matured and bottled entirely on site, a barley-to-bottle process built around a single piece of land rather than bought-in grain. The distillery released its first single malt in March 2026 after years of cask maturation. There is no visitor centre or public tour; whisky and merchandise are sold through the online shop. Registered as Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers Limited, the business remains independently owned by the family rather than part of any larger drinks group.
