Glendoick Garden Centre sits beside the A90 Perth to Dundee road at Glencarse, on land the Cox family has farmed and planted since Euan and Peter Cox founded a specialist rhododendron nursery here in 1953. Tricia Cox opened the retail garden centre in 1973, and it remains under family control, now led by plantsman Kenneth Cox. Behind the shop, a woodland garden of mature oaks and rhododendron collections is open to visitors, with a free fairy trail laid out among the trees for children. The centre sells plants, gardening equipment and gifts alongside a food hall, and runs a café that closes half an hour before the rest of the site. Dogs are welcome throughout. The business remains independently owned and separate from any national garden centre group.
