Old Nick's Tavern occupies a former coaching inn at 8 North Street in Horncastle, built in 1752. The pub keeps its own micro-brewery, Horncastle Ales, on site, with the head brewster the landlord's daughter; four of its five handpumps are typically given over to the house beers, alongside real cider. Old photographs and the original pub sign remain part of the interior after refurbishment. The tavern hosts live bands, keeps a garden and darts, and welcomes dogs, opening Tuesday to Saturday evenings; it does not currently serve food. A single free house rather than part of any pub company, it combines its Georgian coaching-inn structure with brewing carried out on the premises.
