Treske makes bespoke wood furniture and handcrafted kitchens from a workshop and showroom at Station Works in Thirsk, trading independently as a family-owned business for more than 50 years. Pieces are made to order by hand from sustainably sourced hardwoods, covering dining tables, chairs and sideboards, bedroom furniture including beds and wardrobes, and living-room and home-office pieces. The kitchen side of the business produces Shaker, traditional and contemporary designs built to individual room specifications, alongside commissions for offices, boardrooms and schools. Customers can visit the Thirsk showroom to see finished pieces and discuss commissions with the makers before ordering. The business remains based at its original Thirsk site rather than operating as a multi-branch retailer, with each piece produced on the premises rather than bought in. Waiting times and pricing depend on the complexity of each commission.
