Wax andBeans

Wax and Beans combines a record shop with a coffee counter inside a Grade II-listed building on Market Street in Bury. Owners Ben and Louise opened the shop on 29 June 2019, a project Ben had wanted to start for twenty-five years before finally taking the lease. New and secondhand vinyl fills the shelves across two floors, with turntables set out so customers can preview secondhand records before buying. The shop runs its own limited-release series under the Now Spinning name and hosts in-store performances, signings and Q&A sessions with visiting artists. Food is served until mid-afternoon each day alongside the coffee menu. It is the only dedicated independent record shop trading in Bury town centre.
