Linden Garden Centre sits on Main Street in Glencarse, a village around five miles east of Perth just off the A90 towards Dundee. Described on its own site as family-run, it is a compact centre rather than one of the large out-of-town retail-park operations found nearer the city, stocking trees, shrubs and bedding plants alongside garden sundries. It has built a particular specialism in water gardening, carrying one of the area's larger ranges of pond equipment, pumps, liners and aquatic plants for domestic ponds. The centre is a registered stockist of wholesale nursery Frank P Matthews, alongside its own bedding stock through the growing seasons. It operates from this single Glencarse site with no other branches, opening seven days a week with slightly reduced winter hours. The business is oriented towards local gardeners rather than the cafe-and-gift-shop format many larger garden centres have adopted, with plants and pond supplies making up the bulk of its trade.
